Yes. Employers and authorized claims professionals may contact our office regarding work restrictions, modified-duty options, job demands, and return-to-work planning. A current job description or job analysis can help the provider evaluate whether proposed duties are medically appropriate. Any information discussed or released will be limited to what is permitted by applicable workers’ compensation and privacy requirements.

We may coordinate with injured workers, employers, authorized claims representatives, third-party administrators, vocational counselors, attorneys, medical providers, and other parties involved in the claim. Before discussing or releasing protected information, we may verify the person’s identity, role, authority, and any required authorization. The information available depends on applicable workers’ compensation and privacy requirements.

Yes. We currently accept eligible Washington State Fund claims administered by Labor & Industries and eligible claims administered by certified self-insured employers or their authorized claims representatives. Acceptance and scheduling are subject to claim verification, provider availability, and any applicable referral or authorization requirements.

Self-insured claims may require additional time to identify the appropriate claims representative and verify claim status, billing information, authorization, and the requested service. Please allow at least two weeks for verification and scheduling when possible.
If the required information or authorization cannot be confirmed before the proposed appointment date, the appointment may need to be rescheduled. Scheduling time varies according to verification requirements and appointment availability.

No. Claim allowance and claim-status decisions are made by Labor & Industries, the self-insured employer, or the appropriate claims administrator. Our role is to provide medical evaluation, treatment when appropriate, documentation, and work-capacity guidance.

Please have the worker’s name, date of birth, employer, date of injury, claim number, claim type, requested service, and claims representative’s contact information available. Relevant referral or authorization information may also be needed.

Please provide the proposed job title, essential duties, physical demands, work schedule, and any available job description or job analysis. The provider will compare the proposed duties with the worker’s current medical restrictions and functional abilities.
